After extensive and in depth testing on this model which included over 25,000 prints, over 4 litres of ink we are happy to release what we believe in our opinion to be a comparable model to the Sawgrass SG400 printer but with just a fraction of the ongoing running cost

Supplied as a pre modified and already initialised printer where you just have to fill the carts - pop in and change a few settings, the printer is chip less which means you don't have to worry about resetting of chips or failed chips, if you wanted to print 1000 documents with no interruption the printer is capable if it has enough ink

Huge savings on your running costs when compared to an SG400 which is typically around £1.20per ml of ink and the cityinkexpress brand around 18 pence

As per usual we will match the ink type to what the manufacturers use whether it be dye / pigment ink or  a mix of both,  we dont use ink types that are not suitable or being used on a long term basis by the print head

Arc auto reset chips are already available which is how we have managed to release refillable ink cartridges already

Many smaller Canon desktop printers that's use tri colour carts / 2 cartridges per printer don't have the room inside for free movement of the inkline tubes on a ciss making it impossible to fit one without cutting sections of the printer away which is not something you want to do for obvious reasons.

Typically tricolour cartridges are expensive to buy and don't contain a huge amount of ink , you can normally buy standard capacity and high capacity cartridges

How many times / pods can i insert before the print head fails and i need a new cartridge ?

During testing we found on an unused genuine cartridge we were averaging 8 pods before the print head failed and we needed a new cartridge -  that's this many inserts on one set of genuines.

Potentially nearly 7000 prints based  @ 5% coverage , if you are using a used / remanufactured / used / compatible cartridge this will be reduced based on the condition of the print head - either way its a great money saver and based on the table of costs above one of the cheapest ways to print on your printer.

We are please to announce the release of refillable ink cartridges for the following printers WF-4740DTWF,WF-4720DWF,WF-4725DWF,WF-4730DTWF,WF-4740DWF,WF-4730DWF now ciss arc chips ( auto reset ) have become available a ciss continuous ink system will soon follow 3 months +.

The chip prices are being kept high at the moment so the chip manufacturer can claw back some of the development costs and we would expect the price to lower in around 6 - 12 months
