Question Subject: Ink Type See Answer
Details: Hi, the Epson XP-860 uses cartridges filled with Epson Claria Photo HD ink. What is the type of bottled Epson ink used with the CISS kit? What difference will using this ink make, if any? Thanks.
Asked by Garry 2/16/2016 12:00 PM
Answer: This isn't the same ink as is in your cartridges. Epson have released bottles of ink, developed for use in their EcoTank range of printers (which come with a CISS pre-installed by Epson). This ink will produce a good colour range, and will last 20 years without fading. This is currently our most popular ink type with professional photographers using Epson printers.

Question Subject: Air filters and air balance chambers See Answer
Details: Hi,
Two questions:
1. Does this CISS unit contain air balance chambers to ensure that the printer does not flood with ink during weather changes,
2. Does the unit come with air filters so that the ink tanks are not open for dust, etc, to get into the ink supply?
Thanks,
Brad
