Details: I foolishly accepted an update in firmware (or something similar) that means that to use CISS I have to reset the cartrige chip everyoen now and then,

Am I reading it correctly that your system does this automatically?

Answer: Hi Mark,

Thanks for getting in touch with CityInkExpress,

The 7710 is affected by the new Epson firmware update, if the system has been shut down and turned back on again it will need to recognise the cartridges again. you'll have to run an initial setup which takes time and uses ink. I would recommend putting your printer on sleep mode. you can watch our video on this firmware issue via this youtube video, it also explains the sleep mode activation in more detail - bit.ly/epsonchips

This is an empty ciss for the Epson WF-7710DWF system and contains no ink, you can pre-fill the ciss system with a wide range of WF-7710DWF ciss ink including dye inks and pigment inks, we would not recommend using sublimation ink on the WF-7710DWF printer, its not suitable for long term use with that type of ink.
